I thought PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN worked, despite the number of writers on the project (or maybe because of it). I suppose it depends on the project and the dynamics between the writers.

CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM all had three writers. So that's one film that favors a trio and one film that doesn't. It's not like this is Earth-shattering news....

Movies are a collaborative art form. Sometimes egos get in the way, but when they don't, amazing things can happen. Hopefully this next installment will be one of those cases.

But do you think Morgan is going to write with the Purvis and Wade? I don't think so. Morgan will come in and rewrite the duo's script. I suspect that Purvis and Wade do on-set rewrites too.
