View Full Version : William Martell Analyzes INGLORIOUS BASTERDS (soon to be my fav)
"Basterd's Father -- A History of Tarantino
Does Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming Inglorious Basterds fall in line with the rest of the auteur's canon, or is it a startling departure? Through examining QT's past works and influences, William Martell analyzes the devices at work in this World War II film."

Sounds like a cool piece. Is it going to be in the next issue of Script Mag?

Haven't 'scene' the new issue yet...is there any mention of QT needing to hire an English tutor 'two' edit his scripts...or as long as his scripts sell is it OK not to 'no' the difference between there, their and they're?
I like the IG trailer, but could not 'reed' the whole script... "Their be a hole lots of grammar issues in that they're script."

Tarantino is the Moby of screenwriters. Remix, reshape, and release...
I hope he didn't take the premise of "The Dirty Dozen" and screw it up. The reaction at Cannes was decidedly mixed. I have a WWII movie setup with Legendary so I don't want Quentin throwing more cold water on the genre.

I picked up the issue of Script (with Dexter on the cover) yesterday. I liked the article. He brought up a good point about writers finding their own voice, and how there are alot of writers who try and copy Tarantino's "style" and fail, not realizing you can't copy another writer's voice. You can only develope your own.
Good piece.
