James Cameron rarely gives interviews to anyone. Why is he giving an interview to a starstruck kid who's never handled a video camera before?

I guess Cameron has never heard of inflation. :rolleyes: Nearly all the biggest grossing movies of all time come from the last two decades! Still, if you make a movie as successful as Titanic you're entitled to be big-headed. I'm sure Avatar will be a good movie, there's no doubting Cameron's talent for making blockbuster movies. It will be interesting to see if Avatar is as photo-realistic as Cameron suggests. Is that leaf real or not?

I tell you, if I see this movie and the leaves look fake, well I won't enjoy it. I remember seeing Toy Story and saying "man, that wallpaper in the house only looked 90 percent real." :D :p

I looked up the numbers on boxofficemojo and it does check out, worldwide unadjusted-for-inflation gross is about half a billion more than LOTR: ROTK.

Though yes, it is strange that the interview from Variety is staged on a random bench outside the convention center.

A few years ago I saw a video where this dopey college girl interviewed John Cusak, and started out by implying he was in American Beauty.

It was hilarious. She had him mixed up with Kevin Spacey????

He had to deny it SEVERAL TIMES before she believed him.
