View Full Version : Stepping down as a mod

Decided to pop in and leave a message to let everybody know I'm stepping down as a mod. I've already spoken to Will via PM about my decision and he quite rightly pointed out to me to visit here and mention this to everybody..

After spending a week away from the forum writing I now realize I don't have the time required to be a mod on the Done Deal Pro forum what with all the other things happening in my life.. I'm waiting upon delivery of some timber to erect some fencing around my property too and will be busy doing that for a couple of weeks after I finish my current script rewrite..

It took me 5 days to get started on the script I intended to rewrite and when I did make a start I discovered I had to start yet again after writing a 25 paged ACT I which wasn't right but I'm 57 pages in and just crossed into the second half on ACT II on page 57.. After spending this much time writing I have other script projects coming up and time has become a premium and this is why I've decided to step down being a mod.

Thanks to Will for placing his trust in me and to all you Admins and Mods for helping me and making me feel part of a team.. I will be returning back to the Done Deal Pro forum from time to time but just as a regular poster from now on.. Maybe not as much but I will be back..

Thanks again guys. The experience has been very valuable and one thing I have learned from this is I appreciate the hard work and efforts folk who run the forum and help keep the peace..

And thanks to the forum members for your support and understanding while I was new at that job. If I made a mistake and unintentionally offended anybody whilst I was in that responsible position I like to offer my sincere apologies.

Back to rewriting this 110 Horror script….

Thanks..

I've noted some of this to Kevan privately but I did want to quickly note for all, we hate to see Kevan go, but we're more excited to see good things coming his way.

We appreciate Kevan's help even if it was just for a short time. So we wish him all the best and as he's noted he'll be back from time to time and will try to keep us updated on all his writing. :)

Good luck Kevan. Be funny if your new fence had somewhere between 110 - 120 posts. :)

Another one bites the dust.

Peace to you, Kevan.

Oh well, I can understand. I could never be a mod here. Then I'd have to not only think about what "I" was posting, but I'd have to give some thought to what "others" posted. It would mess with my head very quickly.

Plus I'm not someone who should be left in charge of anything.

(Seeing as I'm a bit bad)

Big job being a mod.

Anyway, it'll be good for you to be doing a bit of exercise out in the elements.

I hope you'll still hang around and pop in from time to time, Kevan.

Good luck.

Is this fence real or a metaphor representing something more profound about the human state? Either way, good luck with it. :D

A travesty for the boards, a celebration for your script.

Live long and prosper, Kevan, and good luck with the writing.
