Okay, okay, okay...let's say a producer calls and ask you for a quick pitch on to this article
he just saw on CNN -- what would that pitch be on the telephone?

Here's mine...(please post yours)!

Ben's PITCH
This cargo ship is actually a high tech fighter plane AND ship built by USA and Russia. It has invisible capabilites and is undetectable to radar and has a neo-submariner weapon system that can only be operated on water. When a routine test goes wrong and they can't find the invisible cargo ship...there is only one man for the job and his name Virgo LeChien, a former navy seal...

First of all the U.S. would never make a joint weapon like that with Russia or China or half these focked up countries. It's not even a realistic idea for a movie. Second, it sounds like Hollow Man on water. Third Virgo LeChien? Sounds like a freaking Chinese stirfry.

Hey VankSF1,

I was trying to add some pizzaz to the story.
Didn't want it to turn into a Steven Segal flick.
But I like your review of my pitch -- entertaining and scathing at times.
Enjoyed reading it.

Could you post your pitch?

----this is a hot topic on cnn and on tip of every action producers in hollywood (I think)

I doubt this works as an action movie. The cargo was timber. Might work better if you go sci-fi and add the bermuda triangle. Or just make it a drama about the crew like the perfect storm, though they at least were fishermen. This boat was a cargo boat with wood. Don't see the excitement, but once again, thanks for playing Ben.
