I have my first face-to-face meeting with a producer. What should I wear? It will not be formal, not in his office. I know writers don't normally dress up, but any tips on what I should wear?

Don't overthink it. Smart-casual is always a safe bet but as long as you're comfortable and don't look like a smack-head or a complete nutter you'll be fine.

I tend to go for the jeans-trainers-shirt combo if I'm going into a studio but otherwise I might throw on a decent t-shirt or flip-flops instead.

All that said, my vote goes for: Giant Hotdog Costume.

My first thought was hot pants. Maybe hot pants-hot dog combo...

Writers are creatives: nobody expects you to look fancy. In fact they'd probably be kind of freaked out. If you're a dude, you wear sneakers, jeans, a t-shirt, etc. If you're a girl, you wear something cute, but not overdone. You're more likely to overdress than to underdress, unless you actually show up in a sweaty tank and some flip-flops and cutoffs.

I love tutus, myself. And stuff that bra, even if you don't need to!
