Hey, do any of you have a listing of production companies that have deals with the Lifetime Network? I've been looking at a bunch of suspense/thriller movies on Lifetime and writing down the production companies but the movies are kind of old so some of the companies don't exist anymore.

Can anyone help?

I think Lifetime probably works with a number of places regularly -- but also buys properties from whole bunch of smaller companies who make movies themselves then look around for distribution.

Best technique is to go to Lifetime distribution on IMDbPro:

http://pro.imdb.com/company/co0006395/

Then go through every movie on that list, click through to both the production companies, the producers, and executive producers, and collect email addresses. Those are the people you want to query.

Creative and development execs are often more accessible, but for a lot of these smaller companies many producers should be willing to read.

You should try Orly Adelson Productions, though I think she works through Dick Clark Productions now. I've had a few things over the years with them that they have pitched to Lifetime/Hallmark.

Lifetime has really cut back on the thriller women-in-jeopardy genre. I've had a thriller over there for 13 months now waiting for a response. Lately it's mostly been true stories and book adaptations.

I watched a ton of thrillers on Lifetime this weekend. (I guess they're gearing up for Halloween.) If they've cut back, that might explain why the movies were so old.

Thirteen months is sure a long time! What are our other alternatives? Does USA do their own original programming? I wonder if SyFy would even consider a woman in jeopardy type thriller. Hmmmm....
