"Death, Jr." is a three-part comic-book adaptation of the upcoming Sony PSP game from Konami. I wrote it, Ted Naifeh illustrated it, and the first issue comes out in stores tomorrow, Wednesday April 6. It's 48 full-color, prestige-format pages of goodness from Image Comics, cover price $4.99. Here's the front cover:

So go check it out! And if you do, please post and let me know if you're able to find it at your local comics store.

Oh, and if you're planning to visit Alternative Press Expo (APE) this weekend in San Francisco, stop by Ted Naifeh's booth and say hi. I'll be there with Ted and hopefully we'll have copies of the comic available.

Congrats Whitta.

I was wondering if you could explain (in another thread of course) the format for writing a comic book.

I'm sure there are people who like to know...myself included.

If I remember correctly you are adapting this for film. How's that coming along for you?

We've been pitching it to the studios recently. We have a director and producers attached and we've had a lot of interest. I'm hopeful that the release of the comic and the videogame itself (in June) will put us over the top.

Good news! Keep us informed, and best of luck. I'll look for the comic.
