The 21 GRAMS article is one of many fine pieces in this issue.

I know I've received my Sc(r)ipt when I open my mail slot and see McKee's bushy eyebrows staring at me from his advert.:D

Ray's article on conventional cliches was dead on. Definitely worth reading while you outline a script. And agreed, the world definitely does not need any more 'rapping granny scenes'.

Bill Martell gives GHOST the abbreviated McKee CASABLANCA treatment. I always thought Ghost was a great film, now I know why.

John Hill's common-sense article on "what should you write is smartly written.

And I see that DHS has joined the team. Also informative. Nice pic too.

Interesting article on MIRACLE. Not sure why scribe Guggenheim had to take a cheap shot at the Karl Malden made for TV classic MIRACLE ON ICE. I saw it when I was a kid and loved it. I'm surprised that the writer didn't know until two years ago that Herb Brooks was the last cut of the 1960 Lake Placid team. MIRACLE is based on a great story, nearly as compelling as Team Canada beating the Soviets in 72. I will see this movie.

I could go on, but I won't. I learned something from every article, I definitely got my money's worth.

Great issue! The last two issues have been extremely helpful. There isn't a page I have not read, and that is odd for a magazine.

If you haven't checked out Nov/Dec 2003 you should.

A fine issue.

The article with Charlie Kauffman was enlightening. He provided us with an interesting peek into his creative process. I like the fact that he wants people to walk out of his movies and engage in debate.
