Has anyone else read it? It was so totally cool. I loved all the stuff that was in it that wasn't in the movie.
I kept wishing there was a whole movie about the desert part of it and then I realized: I read something SOMEWHERE about some movie that is basically that-- Jim Morrison in the desert with his friends (?) being a shaman and all that. But I have no idea where I read it, what it was called, when it's coming out, etc. etc. Anyone??? Help! I checked around everywhere I could think of.
Thanks.

I think I'd rather watch chicken soup coming to the boil than Jim Morrison in the desert with his friends. >D

You, sir, need to get to the desert for a good three weeks driving around and drinking from cactus under a big humungo moon.
Or maybe I do. Yeah, actually. Doesn't sound like you deserve it. ;)
off I go...
ANYONE ELSE? The movie sounds TOTALLY cool.

I had the (good?) fortune to see the Doors play live and for free a few years back in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. Like many there, I was underwhelmed. The band was fine, but Morrison was, as the character of Lester Bangs says in "Almost Famous" a "drunken buffoon".

Deserts and shamen are cool, though. The WEST is the BEST...
Anyway. That was my favorite part of the movie.

Zuzull, you should check out a Werner Herzog movie called "Where the green ants dream"
Jake, you're dating yourself. A 'few' years back??

I stopped dating myself when I got married. I was being optimistic, my friend! It was, let's just say, some time ago...:hat

Thanks for the info.
I found it at the Donald Hall library at the University of Michigan.
