Hi there! I'm new here and this is my first post :)

It's my goal to create a new TV show, but when it comes to recieving credit as creator or co-creator, I do NOT want my name listed. Not only do I have too many enemies who know too much about me, but also, if my family so much as SEES my name (which is unusual and unique) upon that screen they will come out of the wood works and try to drain me of whatever money I make.

God help me if I don't give them that money!

So, can I use a different name, and still get paid?

The WGA allows you to register a pseudonym, I believe. The best of luck to you.

Hello Unca Leo, thanks for noticing my little post!

I need to know for sure, so I'll keep enquring. Any other comments?

Meanwhile I should note I had to edit my signature because the @ symbol came out instead!

scoot on over to the wga site. they should have something or someone who knows for sure.

www.wga.org I think. there should be a link somewhere on this site.

Thanks WL, I did just that. And it is legal to use a pseudonym. I read it over and I'm quite encouraged.
Thanks.

Archibald Leach and Morris Micklewhite had no trouble with their pseudonyms - of course, they were actors... But there are a lot of writers who have also decided to use a nom de plume when appearing before the public.
