View Full Version : is that agreement ok?

I got the representative agreement from an agency in CA. It is said that I will agree to pay for the fee (aircraft, hotel, meal, phone, mail..) in case they need to come to my country or y trip. Another one is the agreement will last in 6 months. I asked them if I had to pay for the extra time. He said no. Besides, I have to give them 7 copies after they reedit it.
Are they OK? All have been written in the agreement and the editing agreement. I have their account number, their telephone and fax number. Moreover, they mailed me twice. I have their two cards too.
I have kept all the emails and mails. Is it OK? Would I be protected?
Thank for any responses. IWMU

What agency is this? Off the top of my head, paying their expenses sends up a big red flag.

No. These terms are unacceptable.

They could decide to take a vacation
to your country, see you for an hour,
and make you pay for the whole thing.

Absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not familar with agencies limiting
the amount of time you will be a
client - another red flag.

The fact that they have asked you
to make copies is NOT out of line.

However, the fact that they are
"reediting" the script seems a little

Overall, these guys will be a waste
of your time and probably your

My advice: Look elsewhere.

Just out of curiosity, what country are you from?
