Okay.

You've been firing query letters all summer long. You get a response from an agent. He asks for your script, gets it and digs it. A big time producer snatches it up for a little under half a mill with another 500 grand when the movie gets lit.

Imagine you just got word of this a minute ago. What's your plan for the next twelve months?

are you asking a hypothetical or this happened to you?

you keep working your day job for the four to six months it takes to get the paperwork done and for you to get your first check

then write your ass off the rest of the year before everyone you meet forgets who you are and you go down as a lotto winning one hit wonder

It's hypothetical.

The next twelve months you will be occupied by going out on meetings, honoring your rewrite steps, digesting studio notes, pitching ideas, reading crappy scripts for possible rewrite assignments, going to free screenings, partying, going to desert spas, etc.

The usual.

Even if it "really happened," it's hypothetical until the big check clears.
