Is there a site similar to this one that lists book sales and information on agents, etc.?

There are so many book sales every week that these typically can be found only when notable, and usually in Publishers Weekly, a trade magazine.
For my tastes, the best guide to agents, and knowing what they rep and what kind of material they're looking for, there's one reputable guide, Jeff Herman's book. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0871162105/qid=1092603039/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-1853057-0661630?v=glance&s=books)

The Agent Research & Evaluation Service (http://www.agentresearch.com/agent_ver.html) has several pay services but their agent verification service is free. They will tell you if an agent has an established public record and if they've had any negative reports on the agent's business practices.

Also, The Association of Authors' Representatives, Inc (http://www.aar-online.org/index.html) maintains a canon of ethics that all their signatories must adhere to, much like the agents that sign with the Writer's Guild must adhere to their rules.
They do maintain an agent database so it might be well worth your while to visit their website.

Editors and Preditors (http://www.anotherealm.com/prededitors/) is a good website for impartial reviews of people in the world of book publishing. We use it at the writer's conference I work for, to double-check agents and editors who have been recommended to us as speakers. You can also go to your Account Page here on EZbored and type "Books" into the Forum Find box. Last time I did something like that I think I got twenty different boards.

Thank you very much, Queen Uhuru. I've visited your messageboard too and I know you have thousands of resources you put together for your fellow writers. Anybody who works that hard to help other writers deserves a big thank you.
