    CHRISTMAS WRITING EXERCISE 2017

You know the drill, 8 pages, screenplay format, to be submitted by, 23.12.2017, if that suits you good people?

For posterity: the entries thread is here and the results thread is here.

Any questions or amendments, clarifications, please go ahead and ask? As ever, some chat away from the actual entries is always encouraged to give the sense on the board that people are out there and working away at an entry, or two.

We're such extremists here, we even buy two boxes of mince pies, now that's extreme.
Some of the people I've met argue that there is only one true box of mince pies, and that, the idea, of two or even three, boxes, is sacrilegious.

Written in one-inch-high capital letters using red crayon on octagonal-shaped yellow sheets is preferred. Three brads along the bottom edge, please. This is the Hollywood standard.

As an alternative, if your fumbling fingers can't get the hang of three brads, then export a PDF and email this to dpaterson57 at gmail.com instead.

I'll have to go with the pdf. I'm not allowed to have anything sharper than sandwich bread. or noodles. Sometimes we do have noodles though.

We don't care about your religion, just as long as <The Derek< remains the highest award in screenwriting.

Thanks, Derek, for all the things that you have done for this board throughout the years!

That's... 10 days till the deadline. Just saying.

Has anyone written more than almost one page yet?

Or are we still in deep ponder mode?

Damn! With a page and a half I just might win one of these contests.

-nothing written yet, taken up with other duties.
Had to just think, let's check in.
I'm still trying to think something up, if that fails, it's just last minute make-it-up on the spot, mode.
