Bettina Viviano - anyone had dealings?

Viviano (a Writer's Manager/Producer) read my script last year and loved it, wanted to produce it herself. Within a couple of months, it's harder to get a return call from her, until finally, she passes on the project. Says she doesn't know who to sell it to. WTF? I suspect a bad case of ADD. Heard from a friend (who introduced me to this forum just today) that in years past there were postings from people who had dealings with her who said she is hot and cold. But when I do a search in all the forums, nothing comes up. If anyone has had any experiences with her, I am hoping that you wouldn't mind telling me about it.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but don't expect her to have your script read any sooner than May or June. It takes her about 4-5 mos. to get back to you if you're an unknown writer. Even then, if she ends up liking it, she works very, very slowly, and isn't big on offering option money. I've posted this same inquiry over on the Agents, Lawyers & Managers board, so you might want to check it out, a couple people have responded over there. Best of Luck to you, and keep us posted.

I'm at a loss for why anybody is sending this person material. She's been around for years (like 10) despite never having done anything for any writer or project in all that time.

Better to test the waters with someone new who has no track record who may or may not be connected than to waste your time with someone who clearly is a loser.

Yet we continue to dream...

muckraker, you make her sound dirty. She seems to have been keeping busy at studios, not helping anyone you know doesn't necessarily make her a loser. A lot of inactive projects, though. Boo hoo.
