Yeah maybe not everybody's cup of tea, the alternative was suggested if that didn't suit, write something Halloween or horror themed instead, que sera maybe next time.

I'll try to slip in the 1st post theme suggestion if I can, but if it isn't going to earn me 99 bonus points, maybe I shouldn't angst about it, maybe just a Halloween-y theme or horror story will do...

That's my thought for every contest -- writers really need that long to write 8 pages?! But real life has a way of popping up without warning, so yes sometimes folks do need that long.
