But why not just write it conventionally and cut your page count? Seems like all the returns you'd use would add a quarter page plus make the action antiseptic.

I'm sure the artists are fine and could do a stellar job if they had the money. CGI is computationally intensive and with a film like this it's no doubt used in 80% of the film.
