I used; "The unmistakable KWACK of an AK-47 broke the silence.

I hate to ask a question that will have a "if it were a snake it would have got you" question. but;
I have been copying all of my final final final drafts into MM6. I think I made a bad filing...

Re: Can act three be too long?

Agree with you 100% FA4. I'm going to try to cut another ten pages. I just found a whole day's worth of scenes that can be cut.

Re: Can act three be too long?

Thanks Ronaldinho,

Thanks for mentioning "coda". Looking at my final act, if the coda is not counted in the page count for act three, then I'm feeling better about the length of the final...

Re: Can act three be too long?

Thanks NMS.
I did have another 5 - 10 pages in act 1, but it went on the cutting floor when I pared the whole story down from 140something pages. I took out the pages/scenes that didn't really move...

Can act three be too long?

A writer/producer/director said my my act three was too long. I chopped/edited/cut over ten pages out of my draft; the story still
seemed to be intact, but it's still over 30 pages. His comment was...

Re: Another Found Footage Question

Thanks again NMS
I guess "stock footage" would better
describe my intention.
As this is a "docudrama", I think I
should just write the few lines
describing the scene, and let a
producer decide how to...

Re: Another Found Footage Question

Thanks NMS,
The footage I'm speaking of is from independent producers that have compiled snips from contributors that were in the Vietnam War. I have several of these that have 3,4, or 5 minute...

Another Found Footage Question

I didn't want to drag the three year old post over here;
I've read all the threads I could find, but could not find the answer to my particular question;
First: can "found footage" be clips from...

Re: Where should i go from here?

Strike one; I hate it when I have to look up a word (in the title no less) to connect to the story. Maybe this just shows a lack of reading on my part.

If you've done all this reading, and...

Re: A little bit of a dilemma here...

It was suggested to me to take anything out of each act that doesn't move the story forward.
Two thirty page acts ended up 10 & 20 pages

Re: How to Write Action/Descriptions for an Action-Thriller?

Along those lines, are writers awarded the "best original screenplay" for his/her script, or for the edited shooting script?

Re: Beginning location typed across screen

I'm just realizing that I should have probably used "SUPER:" at the beginning of my script; "SUPER: location, date", then; "SUPER: two weeks later", then; "SUPER: one year earlier", then; "SUPER: two...

someone would let you use just to be able to say that their
