Re: Halloween's "Back From The Dead" Writ Exer.

Same here. Best way to do it, IMO.

Re: Halloween's "Back From The Dead" Writ Exer.

I'm still in, just haven't had any time to write after scrapping my first idea. At least I have the story worked out now, I'll get it done in time.

Re: The Blacklist (the TV show)

Episode 3 wasn't great. If anything, it highlighted how far into fantasy this show operates. Convenience and coincidence were the order of the day. It wasn't a Reddington episode, it was a Lizzy...

Re: Sherlock

Yes. Sherlock asked the medical assistant for something, a favour. The sidewalk where Sherlock landed was blocked from view, and there was immediate commotion (a gurney if I remember correctly) while...

Re: The Blacklist (the TV show)

Episode two, Sympathy For The Devil was a nice touch, obvious but fun. Loved the homage to the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair too. They fully committed to it and it really set the tone for the...

Re: Anybody ever write more than one script at a time?

When I'm writing, I focus on one script. I'll work on world-building, outlines, character development, or rewrites while writing but I only write pages for one script. Except for short writing...

Re: SimplyScripts?

I've been a member of the SimplyScripts forums for a couple of years, not quite as long as here. Good bunch of people, very helpful, but it isn't as active as it used to be. Still worth checking...

Re: New Michael J Fox TV Show

I enjoyed the pilot. The talking-to-the-camera element sort of fits with this show, unlike so many others. It's more honest here, the show is self-aware enough to make good use of those moments to...

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I'm a Marvel fan and a Joss Whedon superfan, so yeah, I'm happy. It's very vanilla, family-friendly, a bit too jokey, the characters aren't really interesting (Coulson and May aside), but it's a...

Re: The Blacklist (the TV show)

Phenomenal, considering it's network television. Anyone who saw the trailer knew the whole story going in, they gave it all away, but it didn't matter. Some very cool, very smart decisions throughout...

Re: Brooklyn Nine-Nine premier

It was a decent opener, a few good laughs and some smart decisions. It never resorts to the lowest forms of comedy, staying in the territory of wit and tongue-in-cheek humor. I appreciated...

Re: Sleepy Hollow

That's embarrassing. I knew that, no idea why I wrote Civil War. Thanks for the correction.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

It asks a lot of the viewers, especially to ignore everything we know about police procedure. If you can turn that part of your brain off and accept the biblical twist they threw into the premise,...

Re: Post draft doubt...

Yup, sounds familiar to me, too. I'm usually pumped when I finish a draft, proud and excited. The day after I give it to someone, the self-doubt creeps in and I start to think I've made a horrible,...

Re: Orphan Black on BBC America: Damn...what a premise.

So Season 2 will have more about the mystery of Kira...and we have to wait until fall 2014 for it. Bloody hell, that's a long break for a 10-episode show.

Re: Great Scenes In Not So Great Movies

The opening scene of Assault on Precinct 13 (2005) is ridiculously good and far outshines an otherwise humdrum movie.
