Re: EML Entertainment Eva Lontscharitsch

Eva is very nice and she is quick with reads. She has read a couple of my specs and responded with polite passes leaving the door open. She seems to see some success with her clients, too.

Re: Formatting Q: How to bleep out expletives in dialogue?

Re: Need help understanding what this request means

That WGA sig list isn't always comprehensive and it isn't always current. The only way to be sure is to call the WGA directly, go into the offices in LA and ask in person, or just ask the producer...

Re: Need help understanding what this request means

Sure thing. Also, something else to keep in mind:

IF (and only IF) Eclectic Pictures is a "Guild Signatory Company" (meaning they can ONLY work with WGA writers) you may have a chance at getting...

Re: Need help understanding what this request means

Yes, get an attorney. Even if you pay the attorney more than you will be getting paid for the option and rewrite. This contract is a safeguard for your future and your career. As Ed says, an option...

Re: Need help understanding what this request means

Assuming you're NOT in the WGA, this means that he wants to give you (likely) extensive notes on your script. You can discuss these notes with him over the course of a few weeks. Then you will...

Re: My Black List Experiment Recap

Congrats Ed/Bob! Thanks for sharing. This is awesome news for all screenwriters and to get an insight to the process is most encouraging. Many props and all the best in 2014!

Re: Creative Arts Management

^^If they already have a stable of working actors there's potential to package talent and producers using that pool. Just a guess. I'm really chiming in to say THANKS to Credence for dropping in to...

Re: Querying Managers with a TV Spec

What good is a spec of an existing TV show to a manager? 99 times out of 100 s/he can't sell it unless you're a name writer and even then it'd be a miracle (networks pay staffs of writers lotsa money...

Re: Querying Agents/Managers

How many people (ie screenwriters) have read your new spec, SIX-GUN GORILLA? Have you gotten notes from The Screenplay Mechanic? Did he give it a "Consider?" My point is this: more than likely your...

Re: Help me make an important decision!

Got your PM FOF thanks.

So did the Manager say he wants to rep you on this project? Did he say he wants to rep you as a writer? Or did he say he wants to give you notes and then see the new draft...

Re: Help me make an important decision!

@Fanatic on Film: Did you get the notes I sent you on your script? I never heard back from you after emailing you the PDF. You did say "tear it to shreds..." Anyway good luck!
