Re: Interstellar

I agree with most of the comments. The movie was spectacular but I wasn't as wowed as I was with Gravity.

The whole Matt Damon thing seemed contrived and unnecessary.

It seemed to go on forever and...

Playing the odds

I know and agree with the sage advice that we should choose to write a screenplay we're absolutely passionate about.

Re: Question for Michaelb (clients productivity)

Hey Michael,

A recent article in the Hollywood Reporter titled, "R.I.P. RomComs", pretty much suggested that romantic comedies are dead, at least as far as the studios are concerned (I'm referring...

Re: Under the Dome... let 'em stay there.

Re: Faxing Queries

Hey, since you're out there, why not hire a skywriter?

Re: Script read with added offer??

I'm with SoCalScribe on this one. The company has no film credits and neither does any of the execs that make up the company. The bottom line is they want me to put out a huge amount of effort for...

Re: Script read with added offer??

As I said, I'm not responding.

Re: Script read with added offer??

They're small with about six or so scripts in various stages of development and two more in production. They have no movies that have actually been released as far as I can tell.

Re: Script read with added offer??

Pretty much what I thought and I have no intention of doing any of this,

Just got a script read request from a prodco with an added offer:
They want to know if I'd be interested in writing a script on spec

Act One Plot Point

Can it be subtle?

I'm working on a romantic drama where the main character is learning how to do something that is potentially dangerous but exciting, and she makes a decision (plot point one) to...

No need to panic but be prepared.
Be able to clearly state your vision of the project.
