usually, when a scene has a fresh take on something, it's because the writer has observed a multitude of scenes and feels they can create something better

This is a great drama thread between JoeNYC and Gucci, flashbacks of Craig Mazin and Jeff Lowell added to the drama... they heighten the response of the protagonist

I wouldn't disregard something that scifi, action or thriller as being not a personal story... even a horror movie

they are all interpersonal conflicts with characters ... and that struggle creates...

you empathize with a character and a situation, not a choice of words in an action line... not sure a women getting emotional is... what book are you talking about?
