Re: Jeff Goldsmith screenwriters podcast (and Pilar Alessandra)

Agreed. I used to listen to his podcasts on the way to work. Good interviews from a writer's point of view.

Re: Warner Bros. contest?

Just remember that in this interview, you're basically showing them how you'll behave in a showrunner meeting. Open up, tell them an entertaining story of who you are and how you got here, and...

Re: The State of the Business

Great thread. Dispiriting to some, but inspiring to me.
I'm feeling the ticking clock, too. I'm repped, I've worked, I've been paid, but the next gig is elusive. Plus I've got another mouth to...

Re: Rescue Me ??

I love this show, too, because it's pretty clear that they get to do whatever the hell they want. I love the messy monologues, the tangential digressions, the out-of-nowhere musical sequences. ...

Re: Cupid

I never saw the original, but the new one was pretty good. I like the concept of a love procedural.

Re: Single or Married: What's ideal for a screenwriter?

Being married with child(ren) has forced me to grow a bigger heart, which has improved my writing. The problem is I'm just too tired to type.

Re: From the trenches: Development professionals on the spec market

Coming from an exec, I interpret "simple" to mean "skimmable." I'm thinking they like twists and turns only if they're able to skim through them and still follow the story.

I wonder if the other...

Re: Castle

I thought it was great. Nice chemistry, great casting. Fillion definitely warmed up a character that could've ended up a jerk. I'm tuning in.

Re: WGAw Registry

I log in to wga.org, then click on "register your script," which transfers me to wgawregistry.org. When I enter my info, it says it's going to charge $20 to my credit card.

I'm a WGAw member, but when I try to register a script on-line, it tries to charge me the non-member fee. Anybody know how to get the site to process me as a WGAw member and charge me the right...

Re: Netflix Find Your Voice (Writers/Directors)
