Please push for the nominal Associate Producer credit as part of the agreement-- there will be no compensation most likely, but this will at least get you on the path of greater control on following...

Your agent/lawyer would negotiate any credits beyond "written by" with the buyer. Always ask for this one, but be prepared for the standard 'Associate' or 'Co-producer' your first time out.
