I've always tried to make the villain more likable than the hero. This tends to piss-off the reader/audience for being made to feel creepy for feeling sorry for such a scumbag.

Screenwriting Courses Online

Has anyone taken any screenwriting courses online you'd recommend? Not necessarily looking for a free one (unless it's recommended) but UCLA's online course is too much for my budget. Thanks!

Dango is right. By Hollywood standards an excellent script is either going to sell or get you work. Or both. And I would guess that the people in the film business would tell you an excellent script...
