when the sig hires the writer, the writer essentially joins. There's a point system actually, but whether one tv movie gets you in or not, the deal is WGA so the writer gets all the benefits.

Final draft is the standard in TV. TV writers collaborate in many different ways, pitching ideas in a room, co-writing scripts, though legally they are not teams unless they are hired as such....
