Re: Shortening a script -- approaches?

I would advise looking at the length of each act so you can see which one(s) run long. Then you can focus on trimming that act down to size.

"Good faith" is a defined legal term. You can read more here: http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/good+faith and I'm sure many other places online. From an intellectual property standpoint...

In my experience, if they like the pilot then they may ask for other materials (i.e., Bible). But the script definitely comes first.

I did a page one rewrite on a script while I was working on the movie just to see if I could write a better film. Does that count? Though, I did give it to one of the producer's when I was done.
