Re: Who is accepting Sci-Fi Comedy Screenplays?

Is your script Good to Great?

I know of four production companies seeking High Concept Sci-Fi, and two who are seeking Sci-Fi Comedies.

Re: Submitting directly to a studio

Do you guys have experience, or just spouting off what you think the outcome will be based off the original topic? If you read the question, you'll realize that the script was shopped and requested...

Re: Would you tell the actors if you hated their movies?

Q :Would you tell the actors if you hated their movies?

A : Yes - I do it all of the time, but offer it constructively as possible. Some actors (Cuba Gooding Jr. as an example), have agreed with my...

Re: PAGE Awards Quarterfinalists...

I am a Thriller judge -- I passed three scripts to contacts I know of who WANT those specifics. Very strong genre/category this year.

Re: Sending a script to a bigshot

Re: Abbot Management

Even the writers with 4's on all of their coverage won't go anywhere with Abbot Management. Seems to be a lost cause with their dysfunctional "Buyers Login".

Re: NHO Entertainment - Ford Oelman

If someone asks for a script, shoot them a PDF ASAP. If they ask for a hard copy, mail it.

Re: Can screenwriting be learned?

We'll see. We are going to try to lay the foundation before late June when his Summer coursework really begins. Loves movies, which should be a good thing.

Found someone yesterday. A 19 year old business student at UCLA. We're going to begin the process after classes Monday in my office and the Screenwriter X Project commences.

Re: Studio financing

I know a few producers who love Matching Funds companies. They've put out about eight films in the 7-15 mil budget range in the last three years.

Re: Recommendations?

Not from your posts you don't. I don't even think you are a screenwriter. If you are, I don't even think you've finished one script.

I've seen a lot of Bull****ters in my day, and you fit the bill....

Re: Where the hell do you start?

The service has been online since April 1st. I don't think we've even hit the 1,000 mark yet -- but then again, not really advertising.

I would say that at least 1 out of 5 get positive results....

Re: What Script Are YOU Reading Right Now?

Reading this one today -- DREAMCATCHER -- it's about a young boy exploited because of his ability to help people live their dreams. It's getting good coverage out there.
