Re: Franklin Leonard

I question that number because it is several years old. Maybe that was true when they were first getting off the ground, but in my experience, the quality of the evaluations has degraded severely in...

Re: Franklin Leonard

Sorry, Bono. You're absolutely right. About keeping it simple, that is, not about the Foo Fighters ;)

I don't know if you've seen the "RIGBY" episode of Silicon Valley, but that is basically what...

Re: Franklin Leonard

I feel like Franklin Leonard is kind of like the Dave Grohl of screenwriting. Seems like a nice guy, very enthusiastic, almost like an evangelist for his chosen field. Hard to talk smack about...

Re: Formerly Repped

Hello team, In a bid to increase my odds of making the annual Black List, I'm going with a biopic on this one....

Re: Franklin Leonard

Un-freakin-believable.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Caribbean, Franklin Leonard orders another Mai Tai.

Re: Franklin Leonard

It's ridiculous. $25 per month was a already a lot. $30 is pushing it too far. The real cost to them is probably $0.02/month for each script hosted on there.

I understood when they raised the rates...

Re: Nicholl comments

I for one have always found the Nicholl comments useful. Sure it's subjective and some of the feedback is conflicting, but the comments are almost always thoughtful and the criticisms valid (even if...

Re: My first Blacklist review - 8

Yeah, but for a more general service like BL, shouldn't the YOU in "how likely that YOU would recommend" be more like the *royal* you? If not, then they should probably be more specific in how they...

Re: My first Blacklist review - 8

Seem like a lot of folks are reporting these big BL score disparities of late. Happened to me too. Either the writers around these parts happen to be especially polarizing, or this is becoming a more...

Re: Overexposed on Blacklist?

More or less. The 8 eval had pretty much 8's across the board and the 4 eval had 4's across the board. It definitely seemed like these particular readers used their overall scores as the baseline...

Re: Overexposed on Blacklist?

That thread is a couple years old. I would be curious to know what the current stat is like.

I recently put up a script on BL and ordered 2 evals. Both came back at about the same time. One was an...

Re: New Black List Thread - Franklin Leonard answers your questions

I would like to know how the BL justifies taking such a large cut of the reader fee. If BL took a smaller cut, you could pay readers even more, hence attracting even more and better readers, which...
