Re: Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood

I enjoyed this one very much. I am what I call a 50% Tarantino fan, meaning I like only about half of his films.

I agree with other posters here about the slow pace during the first 2/3 of this...

Re: RIP Rutger Hauer

A very underrated actor. I loved his performances is every film of his that I have seen.

My favorite though is Blind Fury. Nice to see him as the good guy in this film.

He shall be missed.

Re: Toy Story 4

I thought this one was pretty good. Very bittersweet and yes I admit I teared up a bit. So if you have followed the stories in this series of films, be sure to bring tissues to this one. It doesn't...

Re: Me or the WGA?

I haven't heard anything lately from the management front on my queries...just the proverbial crickets.

But I did send out to about 3 production companies recently and I did get one read request...

Mr. Wick 3

Saw this one last night with hubby. I must say it was a lot of fun and in my opinion, the best of the 3.

I honestly can't remember much about 2, but I remember not liking it as much as 1 and 1 was...

Hellboy 2019

Hi all. So I went to see this one the other night and I am torn. On one hand there were some good moments in it, on the other hand it was just not good. I am a huge hellboy fan too and love...

Re: Cold query emails--just the logline?

I have had a lot of success with query emails that are just basic info.

I start with a salutation to the person (they like it if you name someone specific instead of just a blank hello), followed...

Re: Us

I agree with Jai...a bit underwhelmed afterward.

I will admit I have kept thinking about the film for a couple days now since seeing it, and usually that is a sign a film was good. However, that is...

(Almost) Forgotten Gems of the Past

Hi all.

A friend of mine was asking if I knew of a show from the 80's that he couldn't remember the title of. After describing it I realized he was talking about Werewolf (1987-88).

It's funny...

Re: Bad Times at the El Royale

yes, exactly. From the trailer it looked as if the film was something quite different than what it really was. Personally, I prefer a trailer that doesn't show me the whole film (case in point-the...

Honestly, from the trailers I went in...

Let's say you have a script for either a...

What are your "once is enough" films?

Hi all,
With the anniversary of Schindler's List coming up and my local theater showing it, I got to thinking about these types of films. Ones that are good solid movies, great acting and story, but...

Ok, I just got done watching this...film, and I use the term loosely. I had heard about this one a while back. That it was really good, unconventional, and other accolades such as these.

Well,...
