Re: WATCHMEN -- the reviews are coming in -so far so good...

I have issue with them hewing so close to the cold war fears without translating them to the war on terror, but I can see why...

Re: Photo art from "Watchmen"

So...then the cgi pixels cost more if you make them into a giant man-made squid thing instead of mulitple explosions in diffrent cities?

multiple explossions are somehow more socially acceptable...

Re: Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans, Will Take A Bite At The Box-office

Wow.

Even for a...

Re: What If...Marvel made movies in the 60's?

Camp, and bad bluescreen elements.

Imagine the silver surfer in a move produced in the 60's. You'd have some guy painted silver in silver trunks standing on a stationary board in front of a blue...

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine Trailer

I think maybe the focus groups did not respond well to their first cut. That's what I'm thinking.

Re: Stand By Me

A professor of mine back in college used that collected to show that King could have been one of the greatest literary talents of the end of the 20th Century- to bad he choose to be a bastard and...

Re: How do you create a badass villian?

1. Make them scary. And, by scary, I mean someone who can kill anyone- even their own minions- at any moment. It may be for psychotic or for a purpose, but they are all ruthless killers.

2. Do...

Re: Full Quantum of Solace Trailer

I like the rough edges Bond. We had a lot of smooth edges bond for, well, since the 60's.

Let's have something relevant to today. The smooth bond was born out of the cold war. An era of move and...

You know, at first I was all "Smith as Cap? Sure he's got the chops to do it, but visually?"

But then I started thinking it about his origins as an experimental program soldier. The government...

However, it is interesting to see that we have gone from Vietnam Soldier as victim- Deerhunter- to vengence- the Chuck Norris...

I downloaded Celtx the other day, and it's alright. It can switch between a couple of formats, comic books is a nice one that I'll be using, and it's free.

The downside so far, it can't import...

Re: Ledger -- A Tough Act To Follow(?)

Make your action lines as "neutral"...
