With Toy Story 3 being the only film that qualifies being at the top of both lists, it's easy to make the mistake.

I'm too pretentious to rate a kids movie that highly.

It's actually a film for people in general that is great enough to be loved by all.

King's Speech is my favorite - haven't seen many movies this year.

adding Salt. loved how it corrected the weak second and third act in the draft i read. it took its conceit and had the balls to go far beyond that. basically an adrenaline rush from minute ten.

i'll be checking out The Kids are All Right and Easy A based off of everyone's recommendation here. im going to vegas on the 30th so get those favorites in before the clock hits 12.

                  Black Swan
                  The Kids Are All Right
                  Easy A
                  Winter's Bone
                  Four Lions
                  Inception
                  Kick-Ass
                  A Prophet
                  The Town

*Not seen True Grit or 127 Hours as yet, probably my two favourite directors so would expect then both to displace two from my top ten.

This may seem like blasphemy, but I'm just watching The Sorcerer's Apprentice. And I'm enjoying it more than just about any movie I've seen this year. I wish I had seen this in theater compared to Airbender, even though Jay Baruschel is just BRUTAL to watch. This movie certainly doesn't skimp on the effects and fight scenes, and I love fight scenes.

I saw A King's Speech at TIFF, and it's a good movie. I've got The Social Network to go. Then I can say with confidence that I enjoyed SA and Tron the most

maybe it's one republic's "secrets" song you like so much? that was the case for me. the movie was just sorta blah. harry potter with all of its faults did a much better job of setting up a magical world imo.

Easy A added; loved the dialogue, and the writer's version of high school, familiar, but his own

I've got SOCIAL NETWORK and BLUE VALENTINE and THE KING'S SPEECH left. But I'm most excited to see the middle of the three.
