Okay, my script just got hammered with its first rating. I think it's better than the score it received (shocking, I know), but I did make some changes and I'd be incredibly grateful to anyone who's willing to give it a shot.

            CROSSFIRE
            action/thriller

"A thief discovers a mysterious girl in the trunk of a stolen car and must help her escape from a relentless pursuer who wants her dead."

Previous reader did point out that the script features an engaging protagonist and an edgy, complex villain.

Recently uploaded my first script to TBL, so have yet to receive a rating.

But I discovered this Thread, thought it was kind of cool, and thought I'd jump on the bandwagon.

Any views, ratings, and whatnot -- whatever that may be -- would be appreciated.

Read this last weekend. On the whole I thought it was pretty good. A couple of the violent scenes were a little OTT (took me out of the read a little) but understand you need those 'standout' moments.

Tripp was a pretty engaging character too. Good luck with it.

edit - also, the log is a little misleading, but again, can understand why you've gone with it.

Hi, everyone. Long time reader, newbie poster.

I'll throw my hat in the ring:

                            SECOND PLACE HERO

                            Action/Adventure/Comedy

Logline: A bipolar theater geek heads to school and gets thrust into a role he never expected to play: a real-life hero who must stop a band of goons from kidnapping a fellow classmate.

I've pitched this as "Imagine if John Hughes wrote Die Hard..."

                            https://blcklst.com/members/scripts/view/9632

It's a 2013 Nicholl Semifinalist, and my BL evaluation got me an 8 overall, an 8 for character and dialogue, and a 9 for plot. (When it made the Monday email, I received 29 views, 13 downloads, and an email from an interested party, so... woo-hoo Black List!).

The reader called Second Place Hero "evocative of early Shane Black: pitch black comedy and high-octane action" and "This is a blockbuster tale with an indie heart... What plot holes it has are easy to cover up, but even in its current state, this deserves to be seen."

The full evaluation is up on the site. I have revised the script to address some of the "weaknesses" mentioned in the evaluation and have uploaded it.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

                            Will
