An enormous loss to the ranks of genuinely talented actors. RIP, Pete.

Loved him as Kobayashi in "The Usual Suspects". He just oozed out sinisterness without going over the top."A screenwriter is much like being a fire hydrant with a bunch of dogs lined up around it.- -Frank Miller

I don't know if Brassed Off ever got a US release, but this seemed appropriate.

Awesome actor. Another sad loss."The Hollywood film business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." Hunter S Thompson

Re: RIP Pete Postlethwaite
He was never less than brilliant and I particularly enjoyed his nasty sergeant in a couple of the Sharpe TV movies.

Re: RIP Pete Postlethwaite
I saw In the Name of the Father a few days after my father passed away. While my dad looked nothing like Postlethwaite, the quiet dignity of his character and his steadfast love for his kid was too much for me to watch. I think he broke me that day. I cried and cried for hours afterwards.
An amazing talent and an enormous loss. (Both of them, actually.)
RIP.

Re: RIP Pete Postlethwaite
I had the honor to work with Mr. Posthlewaite in one of his films. He was a humble, talented and totally unpretentious guy, a true gentleman, that took the crew out for drinks at the end of the shoot.
This is a goddamn blow.
