No word yet, but second round looks like best outcome.
I got a call this afternoon, but I have one other script in the mix that I've heard nothing about. The person I spoke with said they would be sending letters, emails and phone calls until the 12th.

My friend is reading drama features so I don't know if there's any rhyme or reason to it other than maybe the order that scripts came in.
It's probably a second or third read.

Got a notification today - second rounder, but no dice on advancement. Still, that's semi-happy news re my comedy pilot :-)

I entered two short scripts. I got the "sorry didn't advance" email for one on the first day notifications went out, but never heard about the second. I'm assuming it's also a "did not advance" though.

Getting the news last night that my pilot placed in the top 15% at Austin made me feel a little better about my teleplay after the 4 and 5 it got on Black List. ... Once I get my morning coffee I will be nicer, I promise...

i'd rather assume failure and be pleasantly surprised. The short that didn't advance has actually been sold since I entered, so I would have had to withdraw it anyway.

I'm mostly bummed because I wanted the pass discount.

Totally understand - those passes aren't cheap!

Congrats on selling your short though - that's awesome!

Actually, I know of a semifinalist (for comedy screenplay) who just got called about an hour ago, so there's still hope for those of us who haven't heard yet...

Good to know - keeping the hope alive!

Anyone heard back on the shorts category yet?

                                Not yet.

I entered six projects this year, five pilots/features and one short. Received emails last week on the five and letters today, but nary a peep about the short. (None of the five advanced, even though two were second-rounders last year and the year before.)
