    Re: Worst Stephen King Adaptations

Yeah Pet Cementary was a mess, but it was nothing compared to Maximum Overdrive. The only good part of that movie the the truck with the joker face ( my Dad painted that same face on a tanker truck which was uber cool)
Half a bubble off level... systems normal.

Perhaps so, but the film has one of the coolest openings ever, to my mind. That camera close in on a set of fan blades...and to the thump-ka-thump-ka-thump of George Thorogood doing "Bad to the Bone," here comes the car down the line, hood open like an alligator's jaws... The film turned to crap shortly thereafter, but Carpenter won me over for the length of that initial sequence.

This will be a LONG thread.

Dreamcatcher was utterly unwatchable. The real mystery here is that William Goldman and Lawrence Kasdan wrote the script.

            Flabbergasting.

It's not good, but I wouldn't exactly call it bad. Not a Romero movie I'm compelled to give a second viewing to, though.
