It opened a few doors, but those opening the doors asked about scripts that they had written, and were always a bit suspect about shared credit. That's why I would never send out any material from a client that had another name on the cover.
It's very simple. You can't distinguish who wrote what. If someone came to me a screenplay co-written with Ron Bass, I would be very suspicious about whether the script was true representation of this person's talent.
As for the series bible, while they did write one, on spec and without a script, it wasn't the one that CBS ultimately wanted. They wanted one from Ian Abrams, who had the generosity to include my clients' names on it. Ultimately, the WGA decides on all "Created by" credits on new series, and the bible helped establish their contributions.
