what are the names of some drugs you take if you're pretty severely chemically imbalanced? ie, things to keep you functional, quiet voices, smooth out the edges?
it's for a script, I swear. |

I take Lomotil when I'm chemically unbalanced. It helps keep everything inside, under control.

I'm hearing a commercial for Zoloff in my head... Not sure if it's used to treat chemical imbalances, but I seem to remember the commercial saying it was.
I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling either. Big help I am, huh? Pandoraisme |

Anti-Psychotic Drugs - Haloperidol, Lithium, Chlorpromazine, Thioridazine, Risperidone, Quetiapine and Olanzapine.
Anti-Psychotic Drugs are used to treat severe mental illness in which people lose touch with reality. People may hear voices, see things that aren't really there, and have strange thoughts that other people can hear their thoughts or are trying to harm them. Hope this helps. |

But the drug will depend on whether the person has clinical depression, schizophenia or bi-polar disorder, all of which have different symptoms. Pick a disorder, do an on-line search and you can look up the symptoms and drug to match.

you are probably concerned with paranoid schizophrenia. these are the individuals with visions, delusions, voices, etc.
there was a minor film called, "A Beautiful Mind" that may be helpful. Lithium and others are still very common for treatment and must be balanced carefully. Thorazine is for poor or uncontrolled subjects who are institutionalized at home or in a facility. Bipolar is extremely common, and is associated more with mood swings, depression, and suicide. A number of different agents are used. |
