-- which is why I tend to save various drafts, because sometimes, by getting too close, the earlier dialogue may in fact be fine but you decide to overwrite it, and lose some of that initial feel/energy. The repeat readings have taken the edge off it -- to one's eyes, ear and brain.
Time for script to go in a draw, or for someone else to review. ![]()

Thanks to a communication confusion with me and my manager this week, neither of us even touched the material. I was waiting on some more notes, and he was waiting on a draft based on those notes. Didn't get anything --so no writing.
From a personal standpoint, I don't really get too intertwined in my stories or characters. I think about them, write them as a screenplay, and just change everything base on suggestions/notes. No offense towards script readers, but I prefer notes from a professional (manager/agent/producer) before making changes than notes from normal reader. Today is going to be a day of empty thought. It's my brother-in-law's 18th birthday, and I want to make a baddass birthday cake instead of working on a screenplay. ![]() |
