Or whatever screenwriting software you use.
For me, I run into hour-long periods from time to time I could be writing, along with my lunch break. But I much prefer to write in final draft than in a word document. They put me in different moods, I don't know. But I'm not going to install the program at work because that would require admin access. Anyway, I discovered a cool workaround. It's called LogMeIn: www.logmein.com There's a free version. Basically, it's a program you install on your home computer that allows you to use remote desktop to access your home computer from a web browser wherever you are. So I open up my browser, login, and I'm looking at my computer desktop. I load final draft and type it in--which is *happening* at my computer at home, but I'm seeing/controlling it from where I am. Working great so far. It has a noticeable but tiny refresh delay, since your actions have to be transferred over the internet connection and back to you, but I much prefer it to typing it into word and copying it when i get home. |
