Anyone else seen this one yet? I've caught the first three episodes and, while it's not the best show USA has put out, it's not bad. It's pretty formulaic (as all of their shows are becoming) and steals a bit from White Collar, but I'm liking it so far. Hoping it gets better, though, or it might get old fast.
The guy who plays the main lawyer, Harvey (Gabriel Macht), seems to be channeling a hybrid of George Clooney and Michael Douglas (a la Wall Street) but he's pulling it off pretty well. His character's ego and arrogance are pretty entertaining.

USA has figured out what their audience likes and they are putting new clothes on that dog and trotting him out over and over and over and over.
They're gonna have to try some new paradigms out, imo. It's gonna get boring. At some point their audience is gonna feel like they need to go to a different network for variety. |

I was a big fan of Psych until this last season, where it felt like they were going through the motions (aside from finally settling the romantic interest).
I also discovered White Collar last winter but for some reason can't get back into it. On the hand, I just watched the first episodes of both last year's hit Covert Affairs and Suits and like them both. But, I can see what you're saying. Neither of them are as well written as Psych or White Collar in their early years (better than I could do, and even good, just not great). I think the acting makes up for it, though. |

I started watching Suits because of Patrick J. Adams, who plays the young (not really a) lawyer who remembers everything he reads. He starred in the short film I wrote, Dead in the Room, which by the way is screening at the LA Shorts Fest in W. Hollywood this month(7/28). Despite this blatant plug for my film, I do think Patrick is really talented and does a terrific job in Suits (as well as in Dead in the Room
). And in spite of some plot holes, I think the writing for Suits is quite good as well. |

I'm really enjoying the show. So far USA is batting a perfect game in terms of their shows. I've liked them all so far. Some I like far more than others, but whatever they're doing is working - and continues to work - because I tune in every time a new round of shows comes on.

Good show but Mike was a lot savvier in the pilot. I know it's a fish out of water story, but sometimes he seems too gullible.

Not the type of show I usually watch, but I like it. It is edgy with nice dialogue and isn't your ordinary court room drama.

Pass, even if it is good I can't make myself watch another formula cop or shyster show unless the trial scenes are all nude.
