John Scott III seems to have had a helluva year. PAGE win, CAA rep, sale, and now the Blood List.

Indeed. He also seems like a good dude.

It's great to watch a good writer gain so much traction.

Holy, do some of those loglines sounds like the baldest tires in a winter storm...

The top two are about the only ones I can even imagine not making me want to poor lava on my eyes. ...And I love horror.

I've heard good things about Maggie but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Given the growing cult status of Let The Right One In, it might have a shot as a dramatic take on horror. If I remember correctly it's essentially replacing a girl dying of cancer (or any fatal disease) and replacing it with zombiemania. Keep the budget low enough and it'll make back it's money when it hits the rental shelves.

The Devil's Punchbowl doesn't sound like a horror movie but has tickled my funny bone.

What's the story with Bloodlist? You don't submit scripts so much as producers do? Am I understanding that right?

Cheers,

B

Could be totally wrong, but I heard it was like the Black List, he just selects what he likes and lists them, but he does say he's limited in what he gets his hands on. Good question.
