Rounders is one of my all time favorites, because I'm a major poker whore. In most non-casino games I play you'll hear a few Rounds quotes sprinkled in during applicable situations. Never gets old.
Super pumped for Runner Runner. Congrats! |

Do you have special interest in gambling, Brian?

Hi Brian, love your work and I just started Runner, Runner. Just curious, did you write it in Final Draft and what was the reasoning behind bolding the entire script?

Yes. We use Final Draft. Always have (except for a brief tryout for mms at Craig Mazin's insistence. Went back for some reason). I think we started bolding screenplays because, in the old days, like 10 years ago, the studio would print one copy and then make copies from that. And they would look faded out sometimes. So we started bolding them so that they would still look vibrant on the page. And now, even though no one prints/copies, we still do it. No reason anyone needs to do the same. Just a quirk.

Also, I have huge mixed feelings that you are reading Runner, Runner. It is still a work in progress. I think the leaked draft is 7.3. David and I are on 8.6 now.

Thanks for the answer. I will delete the copy. And it was a really great script. Can't wait to see the new draft in the theater.
