Producer doesn't option scripts

I had dealt once with a producer who also wasn't going to option the script. We did develop it together, including some re-writes (which I owned).

Later he finally did find put together some funding to get the thing made, but by that time I had started working with someone else on the script.

Needless to say, 1st producer was pissed, but he never optioned it, so I was pissed *that* he was pissed.

Anyway, I just wanted to provide an example that some of these non-options can work out and the only reason mine didn't is because I wound up choosing to go elsewhere.
