If you only have two names of your own so far, you probably haven't begun the sensible habit of jotting down all production company names as they roll the credits of your leading comedy shows.

This will produce a list that's superior to any speculative opinion or second-hand, outsider answers you may get.

Also make a note of any UK agents who serve on panels at conventions and festivals popular with newer writers. Such panelists (and seminar leaders) often are open to answering your type of useful question with precise insider information. (Incidentally, this is also a good way to find entertainment attorneys who occasionally work with newer writers.)

Myothercar,

I think that part of the BBC remit is that they have to read everything sent to them, solicited or not. If you've got a comedy for a British audience then you could always send it to them.

Will have a look to see if I've got the address for a list of Brit prod cos.

Couple of links:-

www.filmfileeurope.co.uk
Go to Search then search for production cos in the UK and will bring up 331 of them.

www.britmovie.co.uk
has a useful list of tons of british films with details of crew etc.

www.filmprofessionals.net/
again has more useful links including some prod cos.
