![]() A writer needs to have the confidence to feel that there is merit to what he / she has written and that the writer has a certain level of expertise that should be respected. If the producer / manager liked the material in the first place, the writer must have some ability. The process is, we write, we get notes, we rewrite. To let anybody "write over" your material is letting someone walk all over you as a writer. I think it's an issue that's important to all of us -- if there are writers who allow this to happen, it sets a precedent that we need to be vigilant about not letting spread. I can't imagine it's something that happens very often, God I hope not... But with the industry looking more to new writers than before, it may become an issue.
