Greg, do the same rules apply for pulling quotes during the 2nd phase of the contest that applied during the first phase? ie. if a comment has been posted, then it was drawn from a QF script that received a mark high enough to garner the script a second or third reading in the SF round. Thank you.

      Greg,
Do you ever see a point in time when writers and reps/execs requesting specs will be able to see "comments" made about their scripts? For reps, it could act as a little more sizzle to the requesting of scripts. For the writer, a natural ego groom and smile. lol.

Just looking at high scores in the quarterfinal round. No "rules" per se.

All scripts in the quarterfinal round will be read twice. Most will be read a third time, with the best five of six first and quarterfinal round scores determining the semifinalists.

We don't distribute scripts beyond judging. We believe the writers should have control over what third parties see their scripts, which draft is distributed, what cover letter is sent, etc.

Cannot see us ever distributing comments to reps. We are considering the possibility of distributing comments to entrants.

Oh, it's great to know every script will get two reads in this round also. And an average from five reads would seem to rule out a lot of subjectivity, although maybe not in extreme cases where a script is either loved or hated. Thanks for the info.

Such feedback would be helpful, but I realize it's inevitable somebody will bitch and complain that their masterpiece was misunderstood.

I think Bluecat kicks back an evaluation, which is presumably one of the reasons people even enter that contest. I think the good far outweighs the bad, even if some people cannot handle criticism. Just make it optional.
