Given this, as Will says, do not alert them. Let it run out. You don't have to do anything. You don't need permission to move on, it's automatically yours upon option expiry.

Have you done work on the script for these producers? Did they pay you for that work?

They paid for the initial option and we did everything they asked regarding notes and changes. When we re-write the script we will use the original script we wrote and go from there.
