Default Querying through Facebook

Anybody have any luck querying prodcos via Facebook?

I cross-referenced one prodco's staff listing against Facebook - approx 80% of its employees were on it.

Background: this prodco doesn't have a functioning website. And I haven't had luck finding their employee emails (or email structures). This is a major producer on a studio lot.

Thx

I would NEVER do that. I don't care if other people have success either. I think it's totally inappropriate to cold query on FB.

Use it as networking tool. Establish and maintain relationships. But NEVER use it to cold sell someone on anything.

Besides, if you cultivate a solid network, you won't need to cold query anyhow.

My 2 cents.

If I couldn't find their email address anywhere else, I'd do it as a last resort. What's the worst that can happen? They ignore you, or say no. At the end of the day you still don't have a relationship with someone you didn't have a relationship with before.

I heard replying to a Tweet on twitter with your logline is the best way to query in 2010.
